Former Hunters for the Hungry board member dies

Richard Earl Stinson, 84, of Madison Heights, who was an original advisory board member of statewide Hunters for the Hungry organization, died March 3 at Guggenheimer Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband of Sammie Holley Stinson.

Anthony Rose to join two brothers at JMU

Lancer standout football player Anthony Rose will be joining his two brothers, Peter and Jon, at James Madison University in Harrisonburg. Rose, joined by his parents, John and Mary Rose, signed a letter of intent on March 4 to play for the Dukes. Also at Rose’s side was head coach Cecil Phillps.
