-He is wanted for failure to pay child support and was last known to live on Triple Oak Circle in Madison Heights.

- Malicious wounding, South Oak Drive, Aug. 14: A 36-year-old Spring Grove Drive man was charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, for his role in a fight in which a victim was struck in the head and had a pistol pointed at them. He was released on a $ 5,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing in General District Court.

- Burglary, Izaak Walton Road, Aug. 10: A blue digital camera, a Wii device and accessories and games were taken from a garage.

- Property damage, Cedar Gate Road, Aug. 10: A mailbox was damaged.

- Hit and run, Seminole Drive, Aug. 15: The driver’s side of a vehicle was damaged when an unattended disabled vehicle was struck on the side of the road.

- Petit larceny, Madison Square, June 8: A hubcap key was taken from a vehicle.

- Property damage, Elon Road, Aug. 6: A house was damaged by paintballs.

- Property damage, Shearingham Drive, Aug. 6: A house was damaged by paintballs.

- Property damage, Learning Lane, Aug. 6: A house was damaged by paintballs.

- Petit larceny, Seminole Drive, Aug. 16: A man entered Food Lion and took 12 packages of meat and fled the store.

- Grand larceny, Virginia 210, Aug. 14: A 1999 Bobcat 853 tractor and 2004 Proline enclosed trailer were taken from a job site.

- Burglary, Toytown Road, Aug. 15: A residence was entered and a pair of speakers taken.

- Forgery of a public document, Sweet Briar Drive, Aug. 14: A driver was charged with providing false identification on a traffic charge.

- Felony attempt to elude, South Amherst Highway, Aug. 15: A man was arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving and attempting to elude police after refusing to stop.

- Shoplifting, Madison Square, Aug. 15: Three Lynchburg women, ages 26, 18 and 19, were charged with shoplifting numerous items from Wal-Mart.

- Burglary and grand larceny, Sunny Brook Lane, Aug. 17: A Samsung stereo/CD player, and orange and white motorcycle helmet, a Dell Inspiron 3800 laptop computer, a Sony digital camera, a large number of shot glasses and three fishing poles were taken from a residence.

- Property damage, Tomlin Road, Aug. 18: A door to a residence was damaged.

- Credit card fraud, Cherry Hill Road, Aug. 17: Credit card use without permission.

- Property damage, Victoria Drive, Aug. 10: A cable lock was cut on a gate.

- Property damage, Odins Bow, Aug. 18: A tire was cut on parked car.

- Property damage, Merrymoor Drive, July 12: A parked car was damaged.

- Petit larceny, inhaling noxious chemicals, drunk in public, Amelon Square, Aug. 19: A 36-year-old Gladys woman was arrested after taking several items from Food Lion, and she also was huffing inhalants and intoxicated when found outside the store.

- Grand larceny, Cedar Crest Drive, Aug. 18: A JVD CD player and XM-Sirius satellite radio were taken.

- Petit larceny, Woody’s Lake Road, Aug. 15: A Craftsman weed cutter was taken from a residence.

- Malicious wounding, River Road, Aug. 20: A 40-year-old River Road man was arrested for assaulting another man and causing a laceration to his face. The victim was treated and released at a hospital. The arrestee was held without bond pending a hearing in Amherst General District Court.

- Grand larceny, Stapleton Road, Aug. 20: A 40-year-old Booker Lane man was arrested for taking copper wire from the CSX Railroad.
