Crime Log - April 22, 2009

Here is a synopsis of crimes reported to the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office in the past week:

- Grand larceny, North Fork Road, Feb 8: A gold ring was taken from a residence.

- Forgery, Faulconerville Drive, March 27: A check was forged at Best Bet Mini Market.

- Petit larceny, South Amherst Highway, April 8: An 18-inch pipe wrench, a 24-inch pipe wrench and a Milwaukee right-angle drill were taken from a parked vehicle.

- Grand larceny, North Amherst Highway, April 10: Savings bonds were taken from a residence.

- Credit card fraud, Wesley Drive, April 10: A debit card was used without permission.

- Burglary, Cloverdale Drive, April 10: Dale Earnhardt items were taken from a residence.

- Shoplifting, Madison Square, April 11: An 18-year-old Colony Road resident was charged with taking merchandise from Wal-Mart.

- Grand larceny, Madison Square, April 11: Cash was taken from a cash drawer by an unidentified man at Wal-Mart.

- Property damage, Woody’s Lake Road, April 11: A tire was cut on a parked car.

- Identity theft, Hillcrest Drive, April 13: An online account was hacked into.

- Petit larceny, Country Village Lane, April 13: Cash was taken from a residence.

- Petit larceny, Elon Road, April 13: A driver pumped gas at Campbell’s Texaco and drove off without paying.

- Petit larceny, South Amherst Highway, April 14: License plates were taken from a parked car at Country Cookin’.

- Burglary, Pocono Point, April 14: Two watches, coins, a Toshiba laptop computer and three hunting knives were taken from a residence.

- Property damage, River Road, April 15: A door at a residence was damaged.

- Identity theft, Dylan Street, April 15: A resident’s name was fraudulently used to open an account.

- Petit larceny, South Coolwell Road, April 15: A cell phone was taken from a parked car.
