Softball team loses two games to RMC

The Sweet Briar Vixen softball team traveled to Randolph-Macon Ashland College (RMC) last week where it lost an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) doubleheader to the Yellow Jackets.

The first game’s score was 6-0 to RMC. A Vixen highlight was five strike-outs by pitcher Megan Franklin. Amey Landreth had one hit to break up a no-hitter for the Yellow Jackets.

Highlights in the second game included four hits for the Vixens in the 8-0 loss to RMC. Melissa Viar of Madison Heights and Landreth each went 1-for-3 at the plate; Christen Campbell, a first-year player from Appomattox, went 1-for-2 as did Blair Passagaluppi. Pitcher Katilyn Jones recorded the loss for the Vixens.
