Kris Cecil is a senior guard for the Bridgewater College basketball team. Cecil graduated from Amherst County High School in 2005, and played under Eddie Carter. As of Monday, the Eagles are 10-9 overall and 6-4 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
Amherst surged to an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter and held off Jefferson Forest’s comeback to win 61-55 in Bedford on Monday. The win keeps Amherst (8-7, 5-4) at third place in Seminole District standings, ahead of fourth-place Forest (9-9, 5-5).
If the Lancers showing at the Mid-Area Track Classic on Jan 30 is any indication, it’s going to be an exciting postseason.
